So here is a little treat for you all.. a bucket load of beautiful images by dear friend and super talented Imogen Xiania... these images portray the true romance of what was a beautiful day for Rachael and Wayne at their St Giles Wedding in late September. The sun shone and the night was starry and the details and thought that had gone into this wedding took it all to another level.
I worked with Rachael & Wayne on creating fine art inspired florals full of character and detail. I love that Rachael took on one of my biggest tips to all brides, which is to think about what type of linen you put on your tables.. she did and it worked so well, just letting the tones in the libray of St Giles sing rather than fighting against a mass of bright white.
The flowers were full of Cotinus, Copper Beech, Astrantia, Oak, Skimmia, Abelia, Rosehips and Berries as well as knock out Garden Roses White O' Hara and Alabaster along with Porcelina Spray Rose. The scent intermingled with those textures was rather yummy, even if I say so myself.
The pale pink of the Abelia and Porcelina spray rose worked so well with the tones chosen by the Maids dresses. Rachael's beautiful Charlie Brea dress was simple and elegant and worked well with her bouquet which we decided to make full and lush with lots of intrigue and levels, but with out being too wild or whimiscal.
Banquet tables were adored with our selection of candlesticks and Ester and Erik tapered candles, choosing to opt for the dark ivory off set it the scheme.. rather than choosing bright ivory. It is considering those details that really make your styling and flowers go for the ordinary to the unforgettable.
The details throughout the day were so considered from all parties and most of all Rachael, from the wedding stationary she created her self ( which was just stunning) , to the bottles of homemade Slow gin for each guest and then handpainted gold leaves to adorn the place settings.
I loved creating the buttonholes for the wedding, all of them just with their own unqiue look - but all within a continuous look.
The day was really was rather very special and these stunning photos really just show the love that shines on a wedding day!
I wish Rachael and Wayne all the happiness to come in their future.. beautiful couple.
