I’m Emma, the floral designer behind Martha and the Meadow, a Dorset wedding florist creating natural, seasonal flowers with a refined, garden-led approach.

For over a decade, I have designed wedding flowers and event florals across Dorset and the South West, balancing natural movement and wild softness with a quiet sense of elegance. Inspired by the changing seasons and surrounding landscape, I work with the best of British-grown flowers alongside carefully sourced blooms to create florals that feel thoughtful, atmospheric, and deeply personal to each celebration.

Working from my studio in the Dorset countryside near Blandford Forum, I create flowers for weddings and events throughout Dorset, Wiltshire, Somerset, and the South West.

A Considered Approach to Wedding Flowers

Seasonal, garden-led wedding flowers designed with softness, movement, and quiet luxury in mind.

Creating flowers that feel personal, considered, and reflective of each couple is at the heart of my work as a wedding florist in Dorset.

I design seasonal, garden-led wedding flowers across Dorset, South Wiltshire, Somerset, and the New Forest, working at some of the South West’s most sought-after wedding venues including St Giles House, Came House, Pylewell Park, Cranbourne Lodge and Mapperton.

Alongside venue weddings, I specialise in marquee and private estate celebrations, working with leading planners and marquee teams across the South West to create immersive, design-led floral environments.

If you are drawn to natural, elevated floral design and a calm, considered approach, I would love to hear more about your plans.

"We wanted to write to thank you so much for the absolutely beautiful flowers you created. They were the best we have ever seen. Thank you for everything you did. It was so reassuring to have someone we could trust entirely and who completely understood what we wanted."

We wanted to say a massive thank you for everything you did for us for our wedding . We absolutely loved working with you and you made the whole process fun and easy. You did an incredible job of bringing our ideas together and the house and church was decorated perfectly and everyone commented on how amazing it all looked. We really did have the best wedding day and so much of that was down to you, so thank you !!

Florals Designed in Response to Place

Across Dorset and the South West, I feel incredibly privileged to work within some of the region’s most remarkable wedding venues and private estates, from St Giles House and Came House to Cranborne Lodge, Somerley, and Pylewell Park.

Over the years, I have learnt the importance of designing flowers that feel connected to their surroundings — shaped by the architecture, landscape, atmosphere, and season of each celebration.

Whether for a country house, marquee wedding, or private estate, my approach is always to create florals that feel thoughtful, natural, and quietly refined within the setting itself.
