FOUNDER & FLORAL DESIGNER
Flowers have always been about more than decoration for me. They have the ability to transform a space, evoke emotion and create an atmosphere that guests remember long after the day itself.
Through Martha and the Meadow, I create flowers that are inspired by the seasons, the landscape and the individual character of each celebration. My style is natural and garden-led, often drawing on movement, texture and thoughtful colour combinations to create designs that feel both abundant and effortless.
Having spent over a decade working within weddings, events and hospitality, I understand that flowers are just one part of a much bigger story. My role is not simply to arrange beautiful flowers, but to help shape a celebration that feels personal, welcoming and completely reflective of the people at its heart.
From my Dorset studio, I work throughout the South West creating flowers for country houses, private estates, marquee weddings and intimate gatherings, each approached with the same care, creativity and attention to detail.
Meet Emma & Martha
It all started with a love of designing moments of magic around the globe, whilst working on private yachts. It now entails armfuls of beautiful blooms, Martha the chocolate cocker spaniel, bucket loads of passion and rather a lot of tea, all from the heart of Dorset.
I have always had my nose and fingers in anything creative, from a child it was artwork with my Mother's lipstick and making perfume in my Grandmother's rose garden. I could always be found in the greenhouse, fingers in to something and everything, was always a little scruffy and was happiest when running around the meadow with flowers in my hat. To be honest not much has changed.
'Martha' is my chocolate working cocker, who as I write is tucked up at my feet. Much of my work is inspired by the Dorset countryside, which I enjoy on our dog walks along the water meadows. So hence the name!
