Scented May Wedding
We had a beautiful wedding last weekend where the key was garden flowers and scent. Held at the Relais & Chateux Summer Lodge, it was an intimate wedding of just a handful of friends and family. That did not stop the need for some knock out blooms.
With Sarah Bernhard Peonies taking center stage alongside the most beautifully scented David Austin Patience rose. With Nigella, Bluebells and Forget me Not all used to pick out the blue of ceremony room at Summer Lodge. The rest of the look was brought together with lots of varied foliage such as catmint, rosemary, lambs ear and eucalyptus requested from the bride who wanted as much foliage as flower.
Spash Sensation and Geraldine Roses added a touch a pink to the mix and kept the just from the garden feel.
Jane's Bouquet was created in a natural handtied bouquet, it was designed with her fish tail dress in mind. I love the touch of sunshine that those sunny Aqueliga bring to the bouquet and set off the creaminess of the David Austin roses.
All boxed and off they go! Delivering bridal flowers is a complete joy! This time no difference, big hugs, gasps and a few tears (of happiness) means you know you have hit your deisgn brief spot on. The flowers were a complete joy to create!
