Floral Trends 2018
It is that time of year when you get to see a clear picture of the overall trends for the summer coming when it comes to wedding flowers. Firstly I don't believe that people should follow trends, I think it should all come from the heart - but with today's world of Instagram, Pinterest and so much more it is hard to shy away from certain things.
Last year I noticed say three or four certain and very clear trends shining through from my weddings I booked. From bright and colourful, to the love of foliage and a real lean to pretty and delicate.
This year there is one clear winner when it comes to flowers and it is all about crisp, clean and back to good old timeless elegance.
Yes White is in !
White, Green and White and more White.
I believe it is the natural progression of the 'foliage' look that was so popular during last year and it is looking at being a year of beautiful crisp florals from March all the way through into the late Autumn.
Below are just a few points of beautiful inspiration for this classic look - taken from the Pinterest.
If you love Green and White then you have an array of such beautiful flowers to choose from.
In spring you can look to use Paper-whites, Ranuculus and white Lilac as well as tonal White Hellabores and Butterfly Ranuculus and White Double Tulips.
In Summer then look no further that white Peonies, Foxgloves and of course English Scented garden Roses such as Alabaster or white rose Naomi. Heading into late Summer and Autumn then you can lean to blooms like white Gladioli, Dahlias and white Snowberries.
Worried that White and Green could be just a little too safe.. then use some thoughtful styling touches to elevate the overall look to shear timeless elegance.
Choosing beautiful glassware from companies such as Couvert Hire and Classic Crockery Hire.. are a way of adding real detail to our tablescape - how about beautiful green goblets for your water glasses? Or you could choose statement table linen to accentuate the look from french grey to beautiful sage greens - or just add clean and crisp candlelight to your tables.
If White is not your thing.. then please don't worry.. let me listen to your ideas and I will help you create beautiful wedding flowers that will work for your day - what ever look you are after!
