A touch of New York Style for Elena and Oliver at Clevedon Hall.
Elena and Oliver flew in from New York City to get married in Northern Somerset over looking the sea at Clevedon Hall. It was a truly beautiful day if not one of the hottest this summer.. with temperatures well into the 30's.. I have to say the post set up ice cream on the beach with my team was much needed!
It was joy to work with Elena.. despite the fact that we had only ever spoken over the phone! Sometimes you just get people.. and this was one of them! A really lovely day to be a part of!

It was a joy to work with Elena on her flowers for the day and it was really special for her to bring in the importance of 'the language of flowers' into her day. Finding specific meanings and representation that not only reflected their personalities but also their relationship. It was a really beautiful way to add a huge dollop of extra meaning to your flowers. From Lily of the Valley, Rosemary, Thistle, Lavender and Eucalyptus were all brought in for their meanings.. and the welcome board they had created for their wedding was a really beautiful way to illustrate this to their guests.
The flowers used in this gorgeous wedding were a mix of beautiful English Roses such as Margaret Merril along with Garden Rose, White O Hara and Cafe Latte along with Silver Lace Spray and Silver Shadow Rose. Oodles of herbs from Rosemary, Lavender, Origano and Mint. Thistle varieties by the dozen, grey foliage like Senico and Eucalyptus and Lambs ear as well as textures like Scabious Seed Heads and Astrantia. Somehow we got those flowers through and beyond the day despite it being hotter than Greece!
Fireplaces were decorated with oodles of Eucalyptus and well just a few roses.. All foam free!
I wish these two the very happiest of times... a couple that know how to work hard, play hard and have found love with each other in the wilds of New York..
